Day 316 without a Mobile...

May 21, 2015: I lost my first ever mobile Nokia 2700c during my trip visit travel to Goa. The mobile that I used for like 4 years, just in a moment it was no longer with me. It was like a friend of me who has been there every time I needed. I was not sad because I lost my mobile but I was sad because I lost my companion. Something happened to me after that. I decided not to use a mobile for some days and thought to enjoy the sheer beauty of life. Somehow it started becoming a habit of living without a mobile.

Today, it marks the day 316 of me living life without a Mobile or Smartphone what we call nowadays. So, I thought why not write a blog on it sharing my somewhat experience staying without a mobile. Here it is, hopes you enjoy reading!

Living life without a mobile that too being a BSc IT student in a third year (final year of BSc IT and College Life), being a Dancer, Photographer, Artist, etc and above all being a human is something that no one can imagine and live without. But, I lived it! Not for 1 day, 1 week or for 1 month but for almost 1 year (316 days now and counting). This would sound strange, isn’t it? But it is the fact!

I myself can’t believe how I lived my life without a mobile for these many days. You know, I pinched my hand while writing the title of this blog to remind and know myself that this is something for REAL! My friends think I don’t use mobile because it’s my final year of BSc IT. But to let you all know that’s not at all the reason behind it. The reason is something different. I love to keep it to myself!

One thing for sure I must admit is that - Life has been so good without a mobile. And thanks to God because my experience was mostly good. Not saying that one shouldn’t use the mobile or something like that. But my point here is not to become a mobile-savvy who lives life on a mobile only. These 316 days without a mobile were nothing but finding my inner-self, happiness, enjoying life without a mobile, living life that exists outside of mobile and a lot more. But yes, there were times where I felt like I needed a mobile. I had lots of tough time’s too, living life without one of the most useful communication tool and technology... mobile. I may be getting technical in this, but never mind I’m an IT Person!

I faced many tough times in these many days living life without a mobile but I somehow managed to deal with it another way round. After all, I’m a BSc IT Student that knows very well how to explore other ways of technology if one technology is not in hand. So, that’s what I did when I felt the need of a mobile.

The purpose of writing this blog is to not only share my experience regarding me living life without a mobile but also to bring in the fact that nothing is impossible. If I can live without a mobile for these many days, you too can. And this message goes out to all the addicted one’s who are so much addicted toward their mobile or any other thing that they forget in the process that there is the life/the world outside of mobile or that addicted thing. Just give it a try, everything is possible!

Through this blog, I would also like to say ‘Sorry’ to all the people who tried so hard and are still trying to contact me since those many days. There’s a reason why I lived my life without a mobile so far for these many days. Hope you all understand!

Finally, I would like to end up saying good news that – I’m gifting myself a New Mobile and will be using it REAL SOON! I’m more excited to use a Mobile; it has been almost a year now!

Thanks for reading!
That’s all for now!
God Bless!
