STOP RAPE! - Spoken Word - Ronak Sawant | “Aawaaz uthao, desh ko bachao!” (Rape, gang rape in India)

STOP RAPE! - Spoken Word - Ronak Sawant

Garv hai mujhe bhaartiy hone par,
Garv hai maine iss mulk par janam liya hai.
Mai iss desh ka vaasi hoon, yeh mera desh hai.
Mera bharat mahaan!
Mai pyaar karta hoon mere desh se,
Isliye mai iske ache ke liye ladh raha hoon.
Mai apni aawaaz utha raha hoon,
Suno...

Rape badh raha hai,
Rapists’ badh rahe hai,
Bahut kuch ho raha hai,
Lekin mera desh so raha hai.
Sab kuch ho jaane ke baad,
Tab jaag jata hai achanak.
Thode din baatein karta hai,
Dukh mein sahbhaagi hota hai,
Nyaay ke liye ladhta hai aur haath mein candle liye raaste pe chalta hai.
Kuch samay baad yeh sab bhool jata hai.
Uss ladki ko bhool jata hai.
Iss rape case ko bhool jata hai.
Aur aaropi jail ke bahar shaan se jeeta hai.
Fir kuch din baad wapas aisi rape case ho jaane par,
Fir se achanak neend se jaag jata hai.
Kyun aisa ho raha hai?
Kyun mera desh so raha hai?
Akhir kab tak chalta rahega aisa?
Asifa, Nirbhaya, Damini, aur inke jaise bahut saare pariyon ko kab milega insaaf?

Aur aisa ghinona kaam karte ho aur hone dete ho,
Sharam aati hai.
Teri maa ro rahi hai tere jaisa beta paakar.
Tera parivaar sharam se mar raha hai aisa aulaad paakar.

Sarkaar chup kyun baithi hai?
Kanoon kyun andha ho gaya hai?
Mera desh kya tha, aur ab iska kya haal kar diya hai!
Unn haiwaanon ke liye jaldi kanoon banao aur unhe faansi sunao.
Desh ke betiyon aur unn pariyon ko insaaf dilao, jaldi insaaf dilao.

Insaanon ka naqaab pehne bahut saare rakshas hai mere desh mein.
Angrezon se toh aazaadi mil gayi hai,
Lekin ab inn desh ke shaitaano se aazaad hona hai.
Yeh hi waqt hai, desh ko sudhaarna hai.
Inn haiwaanon se ladhna hai.
Apne desh ke betiyon aur unn pariyon ko insaaf dilana hai.
Yeh sab tab mumkin hoga,
Jab hum insaan ek saath honge.
Ek saath, ek saath,
Ek saath honge yaar!
Yeh saare rakshas inn aise aawaazon se darte hai aur sunte hi haar maante hai.
Isliye awaaz uthao, desh ko bachao!
Aawaaz uthao, desh ko bachao!
Aawaaz uthao, desh ko bachao!
Aawaaz uthao, desh ko bachao!

mera beta rapist nahi bana, mard ban gaya."

English Translation:
“Raise the voice, save the country!”
(Rape, gang rape in India)

I am proud to be an Indian,
I am proud that I have born in this country.
I am a resident of this country; it is my country.
My India is great!
I love my country.
That’s why I'm fighting for its good.
I am raising my voice,
Listen...

Rape is on the rise,
Rapists are increasing,
So much is happening,
But my country is sleeping.
After everything has happened,
Then suddenly it awakens.
Talks about it for a few days,
Participates in sorrow,
Fights for justice and protests on the road holding a candle in hands.
After some time it all forgets.
Forgets that girl.
Forgets this rape case.
And the accused lives in peace outside the prison.
Then, after a few days, when such a rape incident happens again,
Suddenly it wakes up again from the sleep.
Why is this happening?
Why is my country sleeping?
How long will it last?
Asifa, Nirbhaya, Damini, and many angels like them when will they get justice?
When will their soul get peace?
When will the girls of my country live fearless and free?
When will my country be full of Independence?

Bharat Mata Ki Jai, you chant!
And you do such a horrible thing and let it happen,
Feel ashamed.
Your mother is crying giving birth to a son like you.
Your family is dying of shame having a member like you.

Why is the government sitting silently?
Why is the law blind?
What was my country, and now what has happened to it?
Please quickly make strict laws for rapists and hang them.
Give justice to the daughters and the angels of the country; we want justice quickly.

There are so many monsters wearing human's mask in my country.
We had obtained Independence from the Britishers,
But now we have to obtain freedom from the country’s devils.
This is the only time! The country has to improve.
We have to fight against these monsters.
We have to give justice to the daughters and those angels of the country.
All this will be only possible,
When we humans will be together.
Together, together,
When we will be together, my friend!
All these devils are afraid of these voices and they accept defeat when they hear it.
So raise the voice, save the country!
Raise the voice, save the country!
Raise the voice, save the country!
Raise the voice, save the country!

"Live like your mother says,
my son did not become rapist; he became a man."

It’s hard to imagine the pain and horror this little angel has gone through. Asifa, I’m sorry my dear this nation wasn’t safe for you. May you rest in peace! This crime is not against the 8-year-old little girl, it is against the humanity. Praying such inhuman acts never happens to anyone again.

WAKE UP, RAISE YOUR VOICE AND SAVE THE COUNTRY!
TOGETHER WE CAN STOP THE RAPE.

Justice for Asifa and all the rape victims.

The Traveller in me

Cover Photo: The Traveller in me - Ronak Sawant

There is a traveller in me who loves to travel. Travel to a known and an unknown place, travel to a popular and an offbeat destination, travel to a normal and an unusual location. Above all, travel not just to see a place but to experience and feel the place. This is the traveller in me who wants to travel and explore this beautiful world.

I love travelling. For me, travelling is like dancing, moving to the sound of my soul, wandering to the rhythm of my heart, mind and body. No, not to get lost, but to be exposed to the visions that people normally haven’t seen before (or normally don’t see). Exploring a new place, a new language, culture, tradition, etc. walking the way of randomness, having a conversation with a stranger, knowing their life stories, spending time with the locals, tasting the local food and discovering the reason behind the name of the place. This is what makes the journey interesting and worth it. You not only get connected to the world, but you connect with yourself also. This is the magic of travelling.

When I travel, I feel the most alive and I don’t live in the future or the past, just in the present moment. Travelling makes me fall in love with my life. The more I travel, the more I love life and live life. Travelling has taught me how to live in the present. I have learned so much about myself and the people around me. Travelling teaches you so many things. It teaches how simple the life is and it is meant to live. Gratitude and empathy are two of the most important things that I’ve learned from travelling.

We are all travellers on this journey called life. Some travel the long distances, while some travel the short distances. It doesn’t matter how much distance you travel, what matters is did you enjoyed every second of it. So whatever the distance you travel, make sure to enjoy the journey as this journey is the journey of a lifetime.

Life is a journey and you are a traveller.
Enjoy the journey and live your life.

Life is a blessing. I am grateful for everything.

Cover Photo: Life is a blessing. I am grateful for everything. - Ronak Sawant

A boy after coming home from the office finished his dinner and went out with friends on a bike to have a cup of ice-cream. Suddenly his right leg’s foot got stuck in a tire while he was sitting as a pillion behind. He lost his foot, which is one of the most important parts of the human body. Now he is hardly able to walk the same again. A girl very much excited for her job interview and the career ahead, the truck hit her while she was crossing the road towards her job location. Unfortunately, she died on the road after flying some meters away. A family enjoying the holidays, having a great time of their lives travelling together after a very long time, their happiness turned into the tears of massive fear when the bus they were travelling by fall deep into the river. The whole family lost their lives.

These all incidents may sound like a story of a sad movie, don't they? But these are all real-life stories which have happened in real. All these incidents occurred in a moment. Death is indeed a sudden arrival. Few seconds and the life is gone. Life is so unpredictable that you will never know what is going to happen in your life in a moment. For one moment you are happy, excited and alive and the next moment you die. Sadly, this is how life is sometimes. And, this is how it goes.

I am writing this post because this is all coming from my heart and soul. I want to say thank you for this life and for everything that I have. Life is such a blessing. I am grateful for each moment of my life. I am grateful that I am writing this blog and sharing with you. I am grateful for the great family that life has blessed me with. I am grateful for all my friends and all the people I have met and will meet in my life. I am grateful for the food I eat, the clothes I wear, the home I live and the bed on which I sleep. I am so grateful for everything in my life. For this moment, life is beautiful. Life is perfect for me right now. I am happy. I am at peace. Thank you, universe!

Appreciate your life, forgive people for their mistakes, be kind, say those three golden words, spend time with your loved ones, hug them, tell them how special they are because you never know when that next moment comes.

In life, we only know the date we were born,
not the date we will die. Let’s live life before we die.

(Zindagi Aasaan Hai) - A Poem by Ronak Sawant

(Zindagi Aasaan Hai) - A Poem by Ronak Sawant

"Zindagi Aasaan Hai"

Zindagi aasaan hai.
Kyun hum isse mushkil bana rahe hai?
Kyun hum jeena bhul rahe hai?

Rehne ke liye chahiye hota hai, ek chota sa ghar.
Ghar jo deewaron se nahi, banta hai toh sirf logon se.
Jinhe hum pyaar se kehte hai parivaar.

Pehenne ke liye chahiye hote hai kuch kapde.
Pet ki bhukh mitane ke liye chahiye hota hai khana.
Mann ki bhukh mitane ke liye chahiye hoti hai shaanti.

Yeh sab bhool kar,
Hum kahan daud rahe hai.
Zindagi ke peeche ya zindagi ke aage?

Ek baar zindagi ke saath saath chalna seekho.
Zindagi se pyaar karna seekho.
Zindagi ko jeena seekho.

Zindagi vaakai aasaan hai.
Zindagi vaakai aasaan hai.
Zindagi vaakai aasaan hai.

English Translation:
"Life is easy"

Life is easy.
Why are we making it difficult?
Why do we forget to live?

To reside, one needs a small house.
The house that is not made of walls, but built of only people.
Whom we love to call, family.

To wear, one needs some clothes.
To erase the appetite of the stomach, one needs food.
To remove the hunger of mind, one must have peace.

By forgetting all this,
Where are we running?
Behind the life or ahead of life?

Learn to walk along with life once.
Learn to love life.
Learn to live life.

Life is easy indeed.
Life is easy indeed.
Life is easy indeed.

I Found Myself

Cover Photo: I Found Myself - Ronak Sawant

The moment you find yourself, you discover something magical.

I have found myself.
I am not a part of this whole thing called the universe.
I am also not different and separate from it.
I am the universe.

(I have found myself.)
(I have understood life.)
(I have made friends with my soul.)
(I have talked to God.)
(I have adopted this place.)
(I have recognised this world.)
(I have suffered sorrow and pain.)
(I have learned about worldly life.)
(I have felt love and happiness.)
(I have found peace.)

(I do not feel afraid of dying now.)
(But before that, I want to live such a life that death says to me, "Man, what are you?")
